The Capture Yarra Photography Competition is Back for 2017

Do you have what it takes to capture the true essence of Yarra?

Whether it’s a place, the people, an event, or whatever you feel truly represents Yarra, pick up your camera of phone and get snapping for your chance to win.

This year’s competition started on 1st January and closes at 4pm on Sunday 19th March, so there’s plenty of time to get that perfect shot!

There are three categories  for entry in this year’s competition; 12-17 years, 18-24 years, and 25+, with some great prices on offer for each category:

  • 12-17 yrs: Entry-level DSLR Camera Canon EOS 100D DSLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm Zoom Lens
  • 18-24 yrs: Kayell Photography Basic Lighting Techniques Workshop and a Guest role in curating the Yarra City Council Instagram page for a week
  • 25+yrs: Centre for Contemporary Photography Weekend Photography Workshop + a One Year membership to CCP

An exhibition of the finalist entries and winning submissions will be launched at a special Yarra Youth Services’ National Youth Week Event, before beginning its tour of all five Yarra Libraries’ branches.
