There are an abundance of Mexican restaurants in the north, but finding one that combines great service with incredible food is tough. Enter Hecho en Mexico on Brunswick Street.
Surprisingly, Hecho en Mexico is a franchise, but you wouldn’t know it from visiting their Fitzroy establishment. The walls are adjourned with painted murals of Mexico scenery in vibrant colours and the décor is a mixture of traditional and modern without comprising the restaurants vision. The feel-good atmosphere and friendly staff makes dining at Hecho en Mexico a unique experience, combining the comforts of home with the fun of eating out.
Using only the freshest ingredients available, Hecho en Mexico cater for everyone’s tastes, from burrito lovers to taco fiends. Along with burritos and tacos, the menu contains Mexican stapes including enchiladas, ensaladas, and personal favourite, quesadillas, with the option of choosing not only your filling (pork, chicken or beef), but how hot you want your salsa.
Full licensed, Hecho en Mexico also serves a delightful assortment of local and imported beers, wines, tequila and sangria. For mine, you can’t go past the frozen margaritas, adding an extra twist to the classic drink, and for those wanting something non-alcoholic, you can’t go past a refreshing Jarritos. The popular Mexican soft drink comes in a variety of flavours and will quench the first of any (big) kid.
So if you’re looking for a fully-fledged Mexican feast or just a couple of cocktails after work, Hecho en Mexico is the place to go.
