Howler, Brunswick / 7pm – 10pm
Heating up the anticipation for their debut album, Lost Friends (out May 4), Middle Kids will be taking their first tune from the record, Mistake to the Howler stage, as well as other exciting hits from the record and hugely successful EP. Touring across the US with shows at Firefly Music Festival and The Governer’s Ball later in the year, you’ll want to catch these kids before they jet off.

Aboriginal Fitzroy: Tour & Dinner Experience

For a night of cultural enrichment, Charcoal Lane and Melbourne Aboriginal Youth & Sports Recreation (MAYSAR) are partnering up as part of Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. You’ll start by working up your appetite in a 30 minute walking tour of Aboriginal Fitzroy, learning from personal reflections and stories shared by member of the local Aboriginal community. You’ll be surprised how Aboriginal Australia connects to Fitzroy. You’ll then be treated to a three course culinary journey of Native Australian product crafted by Head Chef, Greg Hampton. A portion of proceeds with go towards community programs supported by MAYSAR.

Mountainfilm on Tour – Melbourne

Returning to Melbourne for a second time is Mountainfilm on Tour –showcasing the best short films from the annual Mountainfilm festival. Since May 1979, the film festival has been running yearly, featured in the 2017 Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker magazine. Back by popular demand, this year’s films explore an awesome array of skiing, rafting, mountaineering, expedition travel, as well as cultural and environmental stories. The people spoke, The Craft & Co listened. Relaunching this Autumn is the night every craft beer drinker froths for – Free Keg Fridays. Everything is Blak & White I’m Afraid! by Mariaa Randall

Proudly exhibiting in The Festival of Live Art, independent choreographer Mariaa Randall collaborates with James Henry and Keith Deverell to document history through the words of protest: sentiments of the past that are all too relevant in the fight for equality today. This is a performance installation ready not just for views, but for action.
