Celebrating their first birthday as well as Fashion Revolution Week, the sustainable clothing brand eco.mono is setting up a pop up shop in Carlton. Your style should not be at the expense of other people or the environment, which is why eco.mono only sell clothes that are sustainable, ethically-friendly, and align with your morals. No longer should you feel guilty or wondering #whomademyclothes just for wearing gorgeous garments. I Hold The Lion’s Paw

Celebrating the launch of their debut studio recording ‘Abstract Playgrounds’, the Melbourne psychedelic jazz collective, I Hold The Lion’s Paw are assembling at The Brunswick Green every first Tuesday of 2018. For a night of unpredictable music, from harmonious free-floating melodies and electro-acoustic sounds that can slowly shift to grungy grooves, afro-beats and free jazz. The experimental futuristic style of jazz is here, so whisk your mind away for the cost of a donation.

The Flowers of Romance – Maudie Osborne (solo)

Opening for the presentation of her first ever solo exhibition, self-taught artist Maudie Osborne is occupying the space of in.cube8r gallery until 15th May 2018. With a politically dense yet aesthetically enticing influence, Osborne draws much of her inspiration from the current socio-political movements and moments to stimulate discourse around the issues of class, race, gender and sexuality, and the intersections of these forces under capitalism. Taking visual cue from Bauhaus, modernism and constructivist art, her work is mostly collage and mixed media, with elements of photography and film incorporated into her work. Mould – A Cheese Festival

Cheese. We love it. Whether it’s hard, soft, blue, white, fresh, aged, plastic, fake, stringy, melted, we can’t get enough! You can pair it with any dish, whether it’s pizza, pasta, sandwiches, fries, cakes (cheese cake, obviously). Presented by REVEL, this cheese festival will brie you the upmost of joy this Friday night. The best producers across the country will be showing off their grate dairy products with a well-stocked bar of wines, whiskies, sakes, beers and ciders to compliment your nibbles. It can’t get much feta than this!

Local craft, artists, jewellery and accessory makers are setting up stall to represent the eccentric, one-of-a-kind creations that sets the inner north’s art scene apart from the rest of the world. Pick yourself up a goodie, fill your empty ear lobes with stunning earrings, find yourself a new tote bag and inspire your next living room aesthetic. There will be specials and one-off designs unavailable online so get down and pick something out. Reminder, Mother’s Day is coming up, just if you are stuck for a cute gift!
