Woodlands Group Exhibition Opening Night

in.cube8r gallery presents the opening night of Woodlands: a group art exhibition, exploring the wonder of what lies outside our cities, as they invite artists to bring the woodlands to the city, be it through depictions of Redwood forests, luscious ferns or the critters that spend their time in the outdoors. Come and take a walk into the wilderness with us and let’s see where we end up.

Mother Tongue

Mother Tongue – where inspirational women speak up – is an intimate, warm and cozy night of Woman’s Spoken Word (poetry, stories etc). It is a space to sit back and listen, receive, as well as step up to your ultimate awesomeness and share a piece yourself. It is also a place to witness Woman in all of her incredible facets.
This month’s feature artists are Charlotte Raymond and Amy Bodossian, plus there are 8 open mic spots for which you can sign up on the door.
All genders are welcome in the audience, and open mic slots are available to those who identify as women.

Sunday Sessions at The Rochey presents The Big Southern
Rochester Hotel, Fitzroy / 6pm

We’re all set for another Sunday sesh at the Rochey this weekend, with Melbourne three piece The Big Southern playing a mix of Appalachian, Americana, Southern Blues, bluegrass and Alt. Folk & Country.
This is a band that goes well accompanied with a beer and a boogie, and they’re not afraid to throw the odd slow Ballard in there either.
